The cool year left a slight imprint of freshly mown grass, delicate and sharp, followed by notes of earth, pencil lead and tomato juice. On the palate it is subtle and assertive, with a mild grassy astringency in attack which is immediately overwhelmed by a powerful final succulence, leaving strong sensations of crisp, fresh red fruit. It is a textbook example of the elegant and composed style that identifies this wine.
