A very cold growing year, with attempts to prolong ripening as much as possible. The initial impact displays faint vegetality (licorice root, forest floor), which evolve into spices, mint, licorice and pencil lead. On the palate it elegant and well coordinated, with just perceivable fruit and returning notes of meadow herbs. Finishes with a pleasant balsamic sweetness. The closest to the classic style of Bordeaux wines.
